After a twenty-five year career in accounting, Mike took early retirement so he could spend more time pursuing his love of music and vintage saxophones. He has worked with Blue Note Music founder Dave Edgar to hone his instrument repair skills, and purchased the company in 2017. Mike is involved in the Calgary music community, playing alto sax in a community jazz group, serving as Treasurer of the Calgary Blues Music Association, and is an involved band parent for his two teenage sons.
