Haynes Handmade Flute (1969) – Solid Silver, B Foot – Fresh Overhaul!!

This Haynes handmade flute was a joy to work on. Although it had been sitting in the case for a while when I got it, the condition was really nice. It was made in 1969 (37XXX), has a B foot and an inline G. Everything is solid silver including the keywork, and the head joint has a number 6 inside near the crown. There are no dents or dings, but there are a few minor scratches from use over the past 50 odd years. Only a couple of keys needed to be tighten up. The soldered tone holes were vacuum test for leaks as well as visually inspected under magnification and they are look excellent! After a complete disassembly and cleaning, premium felt pads were installed and everything was precision adjusted. It comes with a non-original case that fits it perfectly. The flute plays beautifully, is in incredible condition and is ready to be enjoyed for years to come. I will also include a one year warranty for local buyers.

- Notes - Excellent. Made from Sheffield Stainless Steel, this is obviously an exceptionally rare and sought after mouthpiece and the play does not disappoint. It is free blowing and a little on the brighter side with a really nice edge. There is one minor imperfection on the tip from an impact, but it does not affect the play and the reed seals perfectly. Probably the best Berg I have ever played. This is the model 1, and I have not seen one of these for sale anywhere. There are a few model 2's around, but no model 1's. The price is on the high side, but this is a consignment sale and as the client said to me "where are you going to find another one?". The price is in Canadian dollars and is equal to approximately $3200 USD. I have loaded lots of pics, but if there is something else you want to see or have any questions, just send me an email.
