This is a gorgeous and highly regarded Buffet Super Dynaction tenor saxophone from 1961 that is in excellent condition. As far as vintage saxophones go, these are considered second only to the Selmer Mark VI. The lacquer shows some signs of wear but is probably more that 75% intact. The horn was in excellent condition when I bought it and only had some minor dings in the bottom bow. The body was straight and there were no signs of previous repairs on the body or neck. It was given a complete mechanical rebuild. The key work was tightened up, tone holes levelled and a few springs replaced. I guarantee that this horn plays as well as it did when new, possibly even better. Many tech don’t understand these horn very well and set up the key heights too low. I have set these as high as I could (within reason) and it is am excellent player. The original screw-in resonators had been removed at some point so is chose riveted flat resonators to mimic the original. The pads on this horn were made by me, by hand. They are comprised of kangaroo leather and high quality wool felt from the U.K. as well as card backing from western Canada It comes with a period case that is not original,. Will include a full one year warranty to local buyers.
