King Super 20 Silver Sonic saxophones are among the most highly sought after horns ever made. This example is unfortunately not from the vintage era as the serial number (613303) dates it in the late 70’s or early 80’s. It is considered a series VI horn as it is engraved U.S.A. and has the regular over the top neck octave key. As you can see from the pictures, it is in very nice condition with its sterling silver bell and neck. There are no major dents, re-solders or repairs that I could find, but there were a few minor dings in the bottom bow that have been removed. The neck has no sign of a pull down. The original lacquer is about 70% intact. The sax was professionally played for a number of years. The horn has been given a complete mechanical overhaul. It has all new pads and the keywork has been tightened up so it feels and plays better than new. The intonation is good and it plays beautifully top to bottom with bags of power. It come with a non original hard sided case. If you want to get a Super 20 Silver Sonic at half the price of a vintage one, you have to give this horn a try!! This one is a killer player!! For local buyers I will include a one year warranty.
