Dukoff BD Hollywood CV Special Tenor Sax Mouthpiece

Dukoff BD Hollywood CV Special Tenor Sax Mouthpiece
  • Brand - Dukoff
  • Model - BD Hollywood - CV Special - SN V391
  • Tip Opening - 0.1015"
  • Approximate Age - early 1950's
  • Ligature: no
  • Cap: no
  • Condition - This one is a head scatcher. You are probably wondering why the price is so low for a BD Hollywood. For the most part the condition is excellent, considering its age. Tip and rails are very good aside from a couple minor nicks on the tip rail. Much of the gold plating still remains. It also still has the original bite plate. Then there is the baffle and floor.... At some point some decided to have it filed down. The baffle is still there but just behind the baffle (what I call the floor) has been filed down so as to be rounded. Perhaps they felt the piece was too bright?!? I have tried to capture is in the pictures, but if you want more sent to you, just let me know. Regardless the reed seal is perfect and it is an incredible player. Full BIG sound with a nice edge. Very round full tone and an easy mouthpiece to play. What a player!! If you are looking for a BD Hollywood for a little less money, you might want to try this one.

Dukoff Transitional Tenor Sax Mouthpiece

Dukoff Transitional Tenor Sax Mouthpiece
  • Brand - Dukoff
  • Model - Transitional - D4 - SN 1608
  • Tip Opening - 0.086"
  • Approximate Age - 1960's
  • Ligature: yes
  • Cap: no
  • Condition - Excellent. There are some stratches on the bite plate and scuff marks from a ligature. This a transitional model from Dukoff that was made in the 1960's when the chamber and baffle style were getting closer to the Super Power Chamber style. It is nickel plated brass and this one in is great condition with a step baffle, but a great candidate to be opened up. Even with the small tip opening it's a great player!!

S-Series (Wolfe Tannenbaum) Tenor Sax Mouthpiece

S-Series (Wolfe Tannenbaum) Tenor Sax Mouthpiece
  • Brand - S-Series made by Wolfe Tannenbaum
  • Model - S-Series - 7
  • Tip Opening - 0.097"
  • Approximate Age - Modern
  • Ligature: no
  • Cap: yes
  • Condition - Very good. Some minor scuffing and wear from use. The tip and side rails are in very good condition. From my research this mouthpiece was made for Brooks May Music by Wolfe Tannenbaum.  It seems to be nickel plating over brass with a Berg style chamber. It's also a really nice player. I wasn't expecting much, but WOW!
